The second edition of High Flyers 50, a prestigious award ceremony and book release function, was recently concluded at the The Westin Mumbai, Powai Lake (Marriott Group).  Recognising people from various walks of life, for their outstanding contribution in the fields of Art, Culture, Entertainment, Business, Entrepreneurship, Philanthropy, Healthcare and Academics, High Flyers 50 is helmed by well-known journalist and trade analyst, Ravi Kumar. The glitterati of tinsel-town, including actors Pooja Bedi, Aman Verma and Aanjjan Srivastav, philanthropist Dr.Aneel Kashi Murarka, Dr.Chirantan Ghosh, and noted filmmaker Onir among many others, descended upon the red carpet, making the soiree a more delightful one. While the ever-so-gorgeous Pooja Bedi felicitated the awardees, actor Aman Verma was the master of ceremonies for the evening.

Mumbai, June 20, 2020: The Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki Fame, Gautam Chaturvedi, the man who dons many hats from an Entrepreneur to an Actor has bagged a prestigious Award of Merit for his short film Work From Home. Starring Mouli Ganguly, Ridhiema Tiwari, Neelu Kohli and Gautam Chaturvedi himself, Work From Home was written and produced during the lockdown in the country owing to the Global Pandemic.

A one of its kind production, showcasing how this sudden Lockdown has thrown many a lives off balance financially, emotionally and psychologically was written, shot and packaged keeping the staying at home protocol in check at all times. The movie deals with the intricacies of the life of a couple who have 2 kids and are married for over a decade, but soon enough, the cracks in their relationship show up and then life takes a sudden turn.

Work From Home is one of the only two films from the country to win this celebrated awards that’s been honoring filmmakers and artists for their exceptional work for a decade now. The film is the only Indian short film to presented with the Award of Merit title. Based out of California, Best Shorts will not be holding a physical ceremony and will courier trophies to the winner keeping the sensitivity of the pandemic in mind.

Speaking on this occasion, Gautam Chaturvedi said, “We at Pinetree Pictures are absolutely delighted to have received this prestigious award. Work From Home is a special film created at a rather difficult time and seeing that the film is getting the honor it deserves for all the hard work and long hours we put into it is amazing. We are thankful to the jury at Best Shorts for recognizing our effort and giving us the motivation, we need with this award!”

He further added that they are working with a few OTT platforms at the moment to make this short film exclusively available for the audience at large.
